Inspired by the Bowfin fish, a blend of characteristics from trail shoes and performance footwear have been utilised for these Nike Air Max 270 Bowfin Shoes which have been designed with a highly textured and detailed aesthetic, coloured in university red and light zitron materials. Layered upon smooth shaped yellow outer segments, zig-zag printed straps weave amongst cord laces with a toggle adjuster fastening and pull tabs above, additional elasticated straps on both sides allow for further stretch and flexibility. A reimagined silhouette sees the tongue and front merge as one from a textured red material with a soft mesh base above that cushions the edge of the ankle. This design continues to the heel where a black synthetic panel has an embroidered light zitron coloured Swoosh tick and a patterned pull tab.

A large Nike Air Max cushioning unit can be found through a layered outsole which includes a translucent curve around the back, a perforated mid section and a slim, shaped red portion against the uppers. Benefitting the rest of the style, a variety of textures can be found across the tread design which has been designed with purpose for the 270 Bowfin shoes which are ideal for exploring cities or for more varied terrain.
